OUR STORY
Formerly known as Midwest Builders’ Casualty, Waypoint Mutual began in 1982 when a group of like-minded contractors came together with the goal of building a uniquely different insurance company to meet the needs of the local commercial construction industry. Focusing on risk management, service, and market specialization to create an insurance carrier that truly understood the complexities of their businesses and the industry, this original vision remains the foundation of who we are today.
From the beginning, we were determined to provide exceptional service and benefit to our members. To help ensure that this goal was met, the board of directors was composed solely of policyholders. Even today, a majority of the board of directors is policyholders. This is where our commitment lies; we value the personal relationships with the people with whom we do business.
